Solar Week (Presentation (169)) (1)

San Diego Jewish Academy

Samuel Engineering, Inc. (SE) applied the IEEE Standard 1547.4 as a design approach to the design, procurement, and construction of a 1 MWh Energy Storage System/Microgrid design for the San Diego Jewish Academy (Academy). The System is designed to meet the requirements of the California SGIP 2020. The Energy Storage System/Microgrid site and design will consider autonomous operation and network magnitude of the Energy Storage System/Microgrid which will be connected to the local electrical grid network but can also work in “island” mode. The Project approach considered economic, technical, Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) objectives outlined by the Customer.
