SAMUEL ENGINEERING receives DR. martin luther king jr. business award

The Martin Luther King Business Awards honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy as a prominent leader in the American Civil Rights Movement in the mid 50’s until the late 60’s. Having advocated for equality across the nation, his efforts are much of the reason we have the businesses and innovation today.  The Martin Luther King Jr. Business Social Responsibility Awards Luncheon began in January 1986 just after the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday was made official in Colorado in 1985. “Each year, awards are presented to individuals, corporations and non-profit organizations for their exceptional community service endeavors in honor and memory of Dr. King.

37th annual mlk business awards

This year, the 37th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, business awards were held at the Sheraton in downtown Denver and the theme was the “Content of Character.” Samuel Engineering, Inc., was one of the award recipients.

With over 15 sponsors from various industries, the proceeds from the MLK Business awards luncheon were donated to Denver Kids, Inc. who will in return, reward scholarships to underserved students across Colorado. Many of the recipients are first generation high school graduates and a majority of the recipients are the first in their families to pursue post-secondary education.
