Load flow, short circuit and protective device coordination analysis were completed using the Electrical Transient and Analysis Program (ETAP) for the entire system. ETAP was utilized for motor starting analysis of two 13.8 kV, 11,000 hp synchronous gas inlet compressors with reactor start as well as a 4.16 kV, 3000 hp residue compressor.
Programming of a total of 10 PLCs. The HMI consisted of a set of two main redundant servers, tied to a single dedicated historian.
Data from the redundant servers consumed by a set of 7 panel-views and 5 HMI workstations.
A stand-alone SCADA workstation was also set up to provide data consumption for gas control personnel out of state.
The control system was based on an Ethernet network on top of a self-healing fiber network
