Process Unit Operations
Installation of a Honeywell C300 (Experion PKS) DCS-based monitoring and control system with capabilities for off-site access and data transfer to the client's corporate headquarters).
Relocation of the control room from the center of the plant to a safer position outside the limits of the processing equipment (as mandated by the toxicity of Hydrogen Sulfide).
Installation and implementation support of the DCS upgrade, including the establishment of instrument installation standards, graphic display content, and DCS programming design and implementation.
Development and implementation of cut-over strategies to allow control loop transfer from existing equipment to the DCS without breaking plant operations cycle or impeding gas processing.
Development of Advanced DCS algorithms to meet the operational demands of the new processing equipment, ranging from simple split-range controllers for lower overhead temperatures to integrated safety interlocks between acid-gas compressors.
Integration of existing and new PLCs into the DCS for monitoring, control, and data archive.
Augmentation of the client's on-site staff to help during the transition of the existing control system to the DCS
